We are offering a short-term contract opportunity for an Accounting Clerk with our client based in Harahan, Louisiana. This role involves a range of accounting and administrative duties within a dynamic team environment. The candidate will assist with accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general accounting processes.

Responsibilities:

• Assist with accounts payable tasks, including invoice matching and filing

• Support accounts receivable processes, including daily invoice/credit processing and collection of past due balances

• Provide general accounting and administration support, such as G/L account reconciliation and month-end closing

• Correct and revise transaction documents, possibly requiring revision of other documents or entries

• Code documents that require knowledge in determining proper classification of expenditure and accounting codes

• Prepare statements and reports using a variety of sources

• Post financial information to journals, registers, and ledgers, manually or by electronic equipment

• Reconcile discrepancies by checking all possible sources of disagreement, reconstructing probable actions, and preparing correction documents as required

• Assist in budgetary control by monitoring budgets and originating or verifying adjustments and transfers

• Participate in special projects and perform other related duties as assigned

Requirements

• Must possess proficiency in Account Reconciliation

• Requires experience in handling Accounts Payable (AP)

• Must have skills in managing Accounts Receivable (AR)

• Experience in Billing is necessary

• Should have good Data Entry skills

• Requires knowledge of Invoice Processing

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is required

• Oracle experience is a significant advantage

• Must be proficient in QuickBooks

• Experience with SAP is highly desirable
