We are on the lookout for an Senior Accountant to join our team in the construction/contractor industry in Harahan, Louisiana. The role involves managing the full cycle of a business accounting. Each transaction, whether it is a purchase, sale, payment or income, needs to be recorded in the correct day book and general ledger.

Responsibilities:

• Handle all aspects of accounting within the company

• Conduct general ledger reconciliations and invoicing

• Oversee Accounts Payables/Receivables

• Manage job costing

• Assist with policy and procedure changes to enhance company-wide efficiencies

• Utilize MS Excel for various tasks

• Perform account reconciliation tasks

• Operate ERP packages like Oracle, MAS 90, MAS 200, Navision, or Timberline

• Ensure efficient handling of company revenues.

Requirements • Minimum of three years' experience in a similar role within the construction/contractor industry

• Proficient in MS Excel, including advanced functions such as VLOOKUP and pivot tables

• Demonstrated experience in account reconciliation

• Strong understanding of accounts payable processes

• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry

• Good communication and interpersonal skills

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks

• High level of integrity and ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and confidentiality

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
