Description
Robert Half is seeking a an Accounts Receivable Specialist to in the Greater Harrisburg area for our hiring clients. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the company's receivables, ensuring accurate and timely collection of payments, and maintaining positive relationships with our clients.
Responsibilities:
Manage and process accounts receivable transactions, including invoicing, payment posting, and account reconciliation.
Monitor customer accounts for non-payment, delayed payments, and other irregularities.
Follow up with customers via phone, email, and letters to collect outstanding balances.
Resolve payment discrepancies and disputes in a professional and timely manner.
Prepare and maintain accurate records of all accounts receivable transactions.
Generate and analyze aging reports to identify overdue accounts and take appropriate action.
Assist with month-end closing processes and prepare necessary reports for management.
Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate and efficient billing and collection processes.
Maintain confidentiality of all financial data.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
Requirements
Qualifications:
Minimum of 2 years of experience in accounts receivable or a similar accounting role.
Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP) and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word).
Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
