Description

Responsibilities:

  • Margin and Shrink Analysis:

  • Analyze department margins and shrink rates.

  • Conduct root cause analysis to identify factors affecting margins and shrink.

  • Data Mining and Reporting:

  • Perform data mining and generate metrics reports.

  • Research and respond to brand management inquiries regarding margin and shrink issues.

  • Work Product Management:

  • Organize, audit, and monitor work products to ensure accuracy and compliance.

  • Establish schedules and methods for various accounting services and financial systems.

  • Policy and Compliance:

  • Ensure compliance with established policies and procedures.

  • Review and recommend process improvement opportunities.

  • Operations Evaluation:

  • Evaluate operations and activities of assigned responsibilities.

  • Recommend improvements and modifications to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.

  • Journal Entries and General Ledger:

  • Prepare journal entries and manage general ledger operations.

  • Reconcile and maintain balance sheet accounts.

  • Account Reconciliation:

  • Perform reconciliations for balance sheet and profit and loss accounts.

  • Analyze general ledger accounts for accuracy and ensure proper accruals.

  • Monthly and Annual Closing:

  • Assist with monthly closing processes and preparation of monthly financial statements.

  • Support quarterly and year-end closings and preparation for annual audits.

  • Financial Research and Reporting:

  • Conduct research, perform financial analysis, and prepare financial reports as requested.

    Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

  • 1+ years of experience in financial analysis or a related role.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Proficiency in data mining and metrics reporting.

  • Experience with financial systems and general ledger operations.

  • Excellent organizational and auditing skills.

  • Ability to ensure compliance with policies and recommend process improvements.

  • Strong communication skills to interact with brand management and other departments.

  • Advanced Excel skills and experience with financial reporting software.

• Minimum of 1 year experience in an analyst role.

• Mastery of accounting functions.

• Proficiency in budget processes.

• Familiarity with cash activity management.

• Understanding of compliance standards and regulations.

• Experience with Power BI is desirable.

• Proficiency in SAP software.

• Experience with General Ledger operations.

• Skills in account analysis.

• Experience in budgeting and forecasting.
