Robert Half has a client in the Manufacturing industry seeking an ambitious, enthusiastic Controller to join their esteemed company. The leadership position is responsible for an accounting and clerical department. As the Controller, you will be planning and directing all accounting operational functions, handling the accumulation and consolidation of financial data for internal and external financial statements, evaluating accounting and internal control systems, and leading departmental staff. This permanent position is for a Controller who will work in the Harrisburg, Pennsylvania region.

Able to perform additional tasks beyond formal job duties
Assess, execute and improve policies, procedures, controls and most methodologies
Collaborate with executive team and partners to make efficient and effective firm-wide operation possible
Handle monthly and annual close of income statement and balance sheet, account reconciliations & G/L analysis
Produce cash-flow reports, calculating cash needs at weekly and monthly intervals, and manage daily cash
Support punctual cash collection by managing the timing for monthly billing and other cash management techniques
Manage the creation of the annual budget and forecasts and monitor them on a monthly basis
Review deliverables of self and team to align with client expectations
Research, plan and implement Finance Department initiatives including software and systems implementation and other departmental or firm-wide improvements, as needed
Give financial reports to executive committee and partners each month
Direct finance department activities, such as accounts payable, billings & collections, and payroll
Requirements - 7+ years of progressive accounting experience, including as a Controller preferred
Outstanding communication skills, excellent interpersonal skills, both oral and written, and ability to build as well as deliver effective presentations
Excellent oral and written communications skills
Prior work done in public accounting is desired
Cash Flow Analysis experience highly desired
Practical knowledge of budget forecasting
Command of financial reporting
Analysis experience highly preferred
Demonstrated knowledge of Income Statements
Adeptness in Cash Flow Forecasts
Cash Flow Analysis experience
Cash Flow Forecasts experience preferred
General familiarity with budgeting
Oracle experience
Advanced credentials such as a Masters of Business Administration / MBA or Certified Public Accountant / CPA are preferred
Strong attention to detail
Ability to work well in matrix organization and dealing with ambiguity
Outstanding technology, analytics and management experience required
Seizes opportunities to produce results without direct supervision
Demonstrated ability in strong analytical, quantitative and social skills
Strong organizational skills and a proven ability to meet deadlines
BA/BS in Accounting, Finance, Economics or other business related field
