Robert Half Fund Accountant in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania

Description

We are seeking a diligent and detail-driven Fund Accountant to join our team based in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. As Fund Accountant, you will be instrumental in managing day-to-day operations, preparing compliance reports, and overseeing the investment process. You will also be responsible for maintaining internal controls, ensuring the accuracy of reporting packages, and providing training on key systems.

Monitor and ensure seamless running of Summit Trail’s day-to day operations, including: o Assist in the monthly limited partnership/private fund investment and divestment process o Prepare various management and compliance reports, specifically as it pertains to private fund filing requirements o Capital call, distribution, subscription, and redemption processing o Document and implement internal controls to be reviewed during regulatory reviews and audits o Ensure policies, processes, and procedures are adequate and properly documented o Work closely with fund administrator to ensure reporting packages are prepared accurately and timely o Ensure timely collection information from investment funds such as K-1s and performance reporting Work closely with investment team and understand the lifecycle of private equity funds and hedge funds • Regularly work to evaluate the efficiencies of operational processes, re-engineer, and apply improvements as necessary with team management • Work to ensure Advisors and Client Sales Associates are adequately trained on key systems (ex: SalesForce) along with processes of Summit Trail as it pertains to private fund offerings (examples include: deadlines for subscriptions, fund closing timeframes, capital calls, distributions, K-1s, etc.)

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Accounting, or related field

• Experience in RIA Wealth Management Operations, Private Equity or Hedge fund administration or equivalent position strongly preferred

Excellent organizational, communication and project management skills

• Ability to work in fast-paced environment

• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills

• Strong knowledge in using both Addepar and Salesforcedesired

• Self-driven and motivated individuals who can take ownership and are detail oriented.

Demonstrates high proficiency in Excel (lookup, pivot tables) and other Microsoft Office applications
