Description
We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for a Payroll Administrator in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. This role is within the nonprofit sector and will involve a range of key responsibilities including payroll processing, management of state and federal payroll tax processes, and multi-state payroll.
Responsibilities:
• Process payroll on various schedules for salaried and hourly employees in multiple states
• Provide assistance with employment verifications and garnishments
• Perform various payroll clerical tasks
• Ensure compliance with payroll procedures and policies
• Review applicable state payroll tax laws and ensure adherence to all local, federal, and state payroll tax laws
Requirements
• Possess a minimum of 2 years experience in a Payroll Administrator role or similar
• Knowledge and experience in handling payroll garnishments
• Proven ability to manage the payroll tax process for multiple states
• High attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information
• Familiarity with UKG is a big plus
• Experience in the nonprofit space is preferred
