We are in search of a Staff Accountant to join our client based in HARRISBURG, Pennsylvania. The Staff Accountant will maintain the general ledger, assist with month end close, and ensuring the smooth operation of accounts payable.

Responsibilities of the Staff Accountant will include:

• Assist with the completion of month and year-end close processes.

• Maintain the general ledger, ensuring accuracy and completeness.

• Prepare and post journal entries as required.

• Manage accounts payable, including coding and entry tasks.

• Regularly review and reconcile vendor statements.

• Communicate with vendors to procure invoice and statement copies when needed.

• Maintain thorough and accurate files and documentation in accordance with company policy and accepted accounting practices.

• Support payroll processes as needed.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy

• Ability to meet deadlines and manage time effectively

• 2+ years of related accounting experience
