Robert Half Accounts Receivable Supervisor/Manager in Hartford, Connecticut

Description We are in search of an Accounts Receivable Supervisor/Manager to join our team in CROMWELL, Connecticut. In this role, you will oversee the processing of customer credit applications, upkeep of customer credit records, and management of customer inquiries. Your role will also involve monitoring customer accounts and taking appropriate action when necessary. This position offers a short term contract employment opportunity.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee the processing of customer credit applications to ensure accuracy and efficiency

• Manage and maintain accurate customer credit records

• Handle customer inquiries and resolve any issues promptly and professionally

• Monitor customer accounts and take necessary actions based on account status

• Assist with the transition to shared services to streamline operations

• Participate in end-of-month processes and procedures

• Utilize your skills in Accounts Receivable (AR) to enhance the effectiveness of the department

• Oversee the collection processes to ensure they are carried out efficiently and effectively

• Implement strategies to improve the overall function of the Accounts Receivable department. Requirements • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field.

• Proficient knowledge of Accounts Receivable (AR).

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role.

• Excellent leadership and team management skills.

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.

• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.

• Outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal.

• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.

• Excellent organization skills and attention to detail.

• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and procedures.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• Proven ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Management Accountant (CMA) preferred.

• Experience with financial reporting, including monthly and year-end reports.
