DIRECT HIRE/PERMANENT POSITION: HR Manager (Non-Profit Organization)

Located in Hartford, CT!

Our client is eagerly looking to add an experienced, compassionate HR Manager to the team.

Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the sole HR representative, managing all aspects of human resources including recruitment, benefits administration, employee relations, leaves of absence, workers' compensation, onboarding, terminations, policy development, and more.

  • Develop and implement HR strategies and initiatives aligned with the organization's objectives.

  • Partner with department heads to understand their HR needs and provide guidance and support.

  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.

  • Oversee HR and payroll software systems, ensuring accurate and efficient data management.

  • Foster a positive work environment through effective communication, conflict resolution, and employee engagement initiatives.

  • Handle employee inquiries and concerns in a timely and professional manner.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.

  • 10+ years of progressive HR experience, including generalist or leadership roles.

  • Strong knowledge of HR best practices, benefits, onboarding and recruitment.

  • Experience with HR and payroll software systems.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

  • Approachable and empathetic with a genuine desire to help others.
