Robert Half Payroll Administrator in Hartford, Connecticut

Description

We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for a Payroll Administrator in Hartford, Connecticut. In this role, you'll be responsible for managing payroll activities for our 150+ employees. This includes tasks such as biweekly payroll processing, maintaining accurate wage records, handling garnishments and taxes, and managing onboarding and terminations. Your expertise in using ADP Workforce Now and knowledge of Automated Payroll will be crucial to perform these responsibilities efficiently.

Responsibilities:

• Manage biweekly payroll processing to ensure all employees are paid accurately and on time.

• Maintain accurate records of employee wages, deductions, and garnishments.

• Manage the calculation and reporting of taxes related to payroll.

• Prepare W2 forms for all employees at the end of the fiscal year.

• Oversee the payroll-related aspects of the onboarding and termination process for employees.

• Resolve any payroll-related inquiries or issues promptly and professionally.

• Work closely with the ADP Workforce Now system to automate and streamline payroll processes.

• Monitor and manage Payroll Garnishments, ensuring all legal and company policies are adhered to.

• Keep up-to-date with changes in payroll laws and regulations to ensure company compliance.

• Collaborate with other departments to ensure all payroll activities are carried out efficiently and effectively.

Requirements • Proven experience as a Payroll Administrator or in a similar role within HR or finance

• Familiarity with ADP Workforce Now software

• Proficiency in automated payroll systems

• Understanding of payroll procedures including garnishments

• Excellent numerical abilities and attention to detail

• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written

• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion

• Familiarity with labor legislation and payroll taxation

• Strong organizational and time management skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
