This Senior Project Manager position will join an existing team to work onsite with a local client. This long-term temporary employment opportunity is based in the Farmington, Connecticut area. The Sr. Project Manager will be managing key projects as part of our client's strategic business plan. This position succeeds when it serves as a key member of the team, ensuring that changes are delivered to the expectations of stakeholders. Additionally, you will be responsible for managing projects to successful completion, ensuring that projects deliver on time, on budget, and in accordance with standards and guidelines over the entire project.   • Supplies detailed reporting to management on risk assessments, milestone completion, and project status

  • Commands deployment scheduling in coordination with tech lead, Dev Ops, and Product Owner

  • Organizes and leads the sprint planning and grooming meetings and records ticket assignments

  • Affirm that the functional requirements are achievable, met, and tracked

  • Determines and schedules projects - as per the Project Roadmap defined by the Business Owner

  • Convenes material from technical leads, business analysts, and QA leads into advice

  • Confirms project with suitable ticket workflows and boards

  • Serves as Scrum Master for the developers on the team - leading scrum ceremonies, clearing obstacles and ensuring the team is working effectively

  • Collaborates with the Product Owner/Product Manager to turn the product roadmap into executable projects

  • Lead the team focus on the on-time delivery of agreed products

  • Cooperates and communicates with developers, technical team members, designers, and stakeholders

  • Works closely with the Product Owner/Product Manager, Business Analyst, QA Manager and Product Specialist

  • Associates with Product Owner/Product Manager to make sure that the product vision and high-level business objectives are unmistakable and attainable

  • Helps to identify, classify, and manage risk for functional improvement requests

  • Coordinates the daily stand-ups, ensuring they are focused, timely, and brief

  • Devises schedules and milestones with inputs from all other teams assigned to that product, manages project scope and timelines

  • Confirms the RACI matrix for projects in a product line

  • Provide assistance to facilitate creation and maintenance of the Project Roadmap with the Product Owner/Product Manager

  • Aids to manage dependencies among cross-product teams

  • Heads project planning


  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant Project Management experience

  • Excellent written, verbal and social communication skills

  • Expertise in Infrastructure Projects

  • Comprehensive knowledge of PMO (project management office)

    • You'll be a good fit for this position if you have experience working with e-learning and blended learning programs

    • You could be a good applicant for this position if you are flexible and focused

    • It is preferred for applicants to have a Project Management (PMP) certification

  • Creative problem solver who anticipates risks and opportunities and maintains a vision for continuous improvement

  • Flexibility to adapt to changes in procedures and job assignments

  • Ability to prioritize work and balance multiple projects and deadlines

    • This position will be the best fit for a candidate with proficiency using commonly accepted scheduling and project management tools

    • Ability to understand and communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical colleagues

    • You could be a good applicant for this position if you are familiar and comfortable with IT project management methodologies

  • Project management skills, strong operational abilities, and demonstrated leadership and supervisory qualifications

  • Can work independently with minimal supervision
