Robert Half Sr. IT Project Manager in Hartford, Connecticut

Description

We are looking to bring on board a Project Manager/Sr. Consultant in Hartford, Connecticut. This role is critical in driving project activities through the Systems Development Life Cycle (SDLC), under the guidance of senior leadership. You will also act as a liaison between technology/business stakeholders and senior leadership, providing updates on project status, issues, and risks. This position offers a short-term contract employment opportunity.

Responsibilities:

• Drive project activities throughout the Systems Development Life Cycle (SDLC)

• Assemble project teams, assign individual responsibilities, develop project schedules, and determine and acquire resources needed under the guidance of senior leadership

• Communicate the business case to the project team to assist with decision making and prioritization

• Act as a liaison between technology/business stakeholders and senior leadership on project status, issues and risks

• Create and maintain project plans and ensure effective financial forecasting and tracking

• Interface with other technology and business organizations to reach an agreement on scope and obtain resources

• Review and evaluate work to ensure quality and adherence to SDLC Methodology

• Apply Agile frameworks such as Agile Scrum in project management activities

• Lead Scrum Teams as a ScrumMaster, ensuring the team's adherence to Agile principles

• Leverage your knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle and Certified Scrum Master skills to effectively manage projects and teams.

Requirements • A minimum of 5 years of experience in a Project Manager/Sr. Consultant role or similar position.

• Strong proficiency in Agile SDLC and SDLC Methodology, including Software Development Life Cycle.

• In-depth understanding and experience with Agile frameworks and Agile Scrum.

• Proven experience working with Scrum Teams and as a ScrumMaster is essential.

• Certification as a Scrum Master would be highly advantageous.

• Demonstrated ability to manage projects, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to lead and work with diverse teams.

• Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to make informed decisions under pressure.

• High level of organizational skills and attention to detail.

• Ability to adapt to changing project requirements and business needs.
