Robert Half Full Charge Bookkeeper in HAUPPAUGE, New York

Description Self-driven and organized accounting professionals might be interested in this Bookkeeper role if they thrive under tight deadlines with minimal supervision. A Full Charge Bookkeeper has become available with one of our clients in the Manufacturing industry. This role is with a company in the Manufacturing field. Experience managing payroll, bank reconciliations, journal entries, month-end close, cash flow, financial statement preparation, audit, and full cycle A/P, will be crucial to this Full Charge Bookkeeper role. The Full Charge Bookkeeper might also be allowed to lead the clerical staff. This full-time employment opportunity is based in the Hauppauge, New York area. Don't wait - apply today!

What you get to do every single day

  • Provide cash flow projections, as needed

  • Guide monthly accounting close

  • Handle Accounts Receivable

  • Record budget transfers

  • Organize subcontractor 1099'Microsoft, and any other IRS year-end requirement

  • Secondary assignment when necessary

  • Credit Card management and reconciliation

  • Keep Accounts Payable up to date

  • Ready monthly reconciliations, financial statements and all supporting documents

  • Prepare cash account journal entries including loans, taxes, bank fees, 401(k) deductions, etc.

  • Outline business license and gross receipts

  • Maintain sales tax records and creates and files quarterly payments Requirements - Seizes opportunities to produce results without direct supervision

  • Experience working in a dynamic and changing company environment a plus

  • Sound written and verbal communication skills

    • Crucial accounting experience, including as a Bookkeeper preferred

    • 5+ years of related experience- Ability to meet deadlines

  • Strong analytical skills with ability to implement solutions and vendor management experience with good organizational skills

  • BA/BS in Accounting, Finance, Economics or other business-related field preferred

  • Highly organized and self-motivated

  • Accounts Receivable (AR) experience preferred

  • General familiarity with manufacturing

  • Adeptness in billing

  • Strong familiarity with Accounts Payable (AP)

  • Credit collections experience highly desired

  • Demonstrated knowledge of Annual Inventory

  • Solid understanding of QuickBooks

  • Bank reconciliations experience

  • Attention to detail and demonstrated ability to follow standard procedures is a requirement
