Robert Half Full Charge Bookkeeper in Hauppauge, New York
Description There is an immediate employment opportunity for a Full Charge Bookkeeper to handle payroll, bank reconciliations, journal entries, month-end close, cash flow, financial statement preparation, audit, clerical staff, and full cycle A/P. Through Robert Half, our client is seeking a permanent Full Charge Bookkeeper in the Hauppauge, New York area. Apply as soon as possible!
What you get to do every single day
Other unique projects when they come up
Proficient in credit card management and reconciliation
Create cash account journal entries including loans, taxes, bank fees, 401(k) deductions, etc.
Produce subcontractor 1099's, and any other IRS year-end requirement
Maintain Accounts Payable
Sort sales tax records and create and file quarterly payments
Supervise monthly accounting close
Arrange monthly reconciliations, financial statements and all supporting documents
Direct Accounts Receivable
Organize cash flow projections, as needed
Index budget transfers
Business license and gross receipts coverage Requirements - Ability to prioritize work and balance multiple projects and deadlines
Ability to effectively interact, verbally and in writing
- Prior accounting experience, including as a Bookkeeper preferred
Great attention to detail
Self-starter with efficient time management and organizational skills
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail are a must
Ability to work in a dynamic and changing environment
Strong analytical skills with ability to implement solutions and vendor management experience with good organizational skills
BA/BS in Accounting, Finance, Economics or other business-related field preferred
Comprehensive knowledge of account analysis
Background working with Accounting Guidance
Practical knowledge of Accounting cycle
Account Balance experience
Accident reporting experience
Adeptness in Account Records
General familiarity with Account Transaction
Earlier work involving Accounting management
Account Coding experience highly desired
Expertise in Account Adjustments
Good understanding of Accounting operations
Accounting Entries experience highly preferred
Demonstrated knowledge of Account Resolution
