Description
We are offering a contract opportunity for a Tax Manager. In this role, you'll interface with clients and preparers as you review federal and state taxes across a variety of partnerships and S-corporations.
Responsibilities:
• Ensure accurate and timely filing of tax returns.
• Interface with clients and preparers, providing top-notch customer service.
• Manage and review tax returns of various entities including S-Corporations, Partnerships, Trusts, and Estates.
• Utilize tax software programs such as CCH ProSystem Fx, GoSystem Tax RS, and CaseWare to expedite processes.
• Stay updated on current tax practices and changes in tax law.
• Coordinate with the internal team and clients to gather necessary information for tax compliance.
• Ensure client tax information is accurate and up-to-date.
• Assist with financial planning and analysis as needed.
• Address client inquiries related to tax matters in a timely manner.
Requirements
• Demonstrated ability in managing tax-related responsibilities in a business setting
• Proficient in using tax software such as CCH ProSystem Fx and GoSystem Tax RS
• Expertise in handling tax matters related to partnerships and S-Corps
• Ability to manage individual tax issues effectively
• Experience in dealing with fiduciary tax matters, specifically trust and estate
• Familiarity with CaseWare is considered a beneficial asset
• Strong analytical skills to interpret tax data and financial statements
• Excellent communication skills to explain tax concepts and regulations to clients and team members
• Ability to stay updated with changing tax laws and regulations
• Proven experience in tax planning and risk analysis
• A relevant degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field
• Certification in taxation or accounting, such as CPA, is highly desirable
• Prior experience in a similar role, preferably as a Tax Manager.
