Robert Half International Full Charge Bookkeeper in Hayden, Idaho

The bookkeeper position is a full-time opportunity in the Hayden, Idaho region. You will succeed in this position if you can plan and direct all accounting operational functions, handle the accumulation and consolidation of financial data for internal and external financial statements, evaluate accounting and internal control systems, and lead departmental staff. How you will make an impact

  • Produce cash-flow reports, calculating cash needs at weekly and monthly intervals, and manage daily cash

  • Evaluate, implement and streamline policies, procedures, controls and most methodologies

  • Comfortable in taking on tasks beyond formal job responsibilities

  • Inspect deliverables of self and team to ensure that they meet client expectations

  • Manage the creation of and monthly monitoring of the annual budget and forecasts

  • Research, prepare and execute Finance Department initiatives such as software and systems implementation and other departmental or firm-wide improvements, as required

  • Support punctual cash collection by managing the timing for monthly billing and other cash management techniques

  • Collaborate with executive team and partners to make efficient and effective firm-wide operation possible

  • Oversee the activities of the finance department, such as accounts payable, billings & collections, and payroll

  • Give financial reports to executive committee and partners each month

  • Manage monthly and annual close of income statement and balance sheet, the reconciliations of accounts, and G/L analysis

    Requirements - Commitment and abilities to meet critical business deadlines

  • 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including as a Controller preferred

  • Strong familiarity with Accounts Payable (AP)

  • Good understanding of Budget Processes

  • Earlier work involving budget management

  • Proven knowledge of Payroll Functions

  • General familiarity with financial statement preparation

  • Accounts Payable (AP) experience highly desired

  • Accounts Receivable (AR) experience preferred

  • Wide ranging experience with Annual Operating Budget

  • Quality experience with Prepare Financial Statements

  • US GAAP experience

  • Construction Accounting experience

  • Well-founded grasp of Construction Cost

  • Practical knowledge of financial statements consolidation

  • Strong attention to detail

  • BA/BS in Accounting, Finance, Economics or other business related field

  • Demonstrated analytical abilities, tendency to quickly connect dots and surmise logical outcomes

  • Demonstrated ability to build and deliver effective presentations to audiences with wide-ranging backgrounds

  • Advanced credentials such as a Masters of Business Administration / MBA or Certified Public Accountant / CPA are preferred

  • Self-starter, ability to identify issues and resolve problems

  • Demonstrated ability to work in a dynamic and constantly changing company environment

  • Past work in technology, analytics and management experience highly valued

  • Ability to effectively interact, verbally and in writing

  • Previous experience in public accounting is highly valued
