Robert Half Accounts Receivable Analyst in Hayward, California
Description
We are looking for a highly skilled Senior Accounts Receivable Analyst to join our clients finance team within the manufacturing sector. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the full cycle of accounts receivable activities and ensuring timely collection of outstanding invoices.
This is a hybrid position which requires training everyday in the office.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee the full accounts receivable process, including billing, invoicing, and collections
Review and analyze customer credit limits and assess credit risks
Collaborate with sales, operations, and finance teams to resolve customer payment issues and discrepancies
Monitor and report on aging reports, AR metrics, and key performance indicators (KPIs)
Prepare month-end close reports, reconciliations, and journal entries related to accounts receivable
Conduct variance analysis on AR-related accounts and identify trends or irregularities
Support the implementation and maintenance of process improvements to streamline AR operations
Assist with audits by preparing and providing necessary AR documentation
Provide financial insights and recommendations for optimizing cash flow and reducing DSO (Days Sales Outstanding)
Mentor and guide junior AR team members
Requirements
5+ years of experience in accounts receivable, with at least 2 years in the manufacturing industry
Strong knowledge of AR principles, credit management, and collections strategies
Proficiency with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, or NetSuite
Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, including financial modeling and data analysis
Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast
