Robert Half Accounts Receivable Analyst in Hayward, California

Description

We are in search of an Accounts Receivable Analyst to join our clients team in the manufacturing industry, located in Hayward, California. This role offers a contract to hire employment opportunity, where you will primarily focus on processing customer applications, maintaining accurate customer records, and resolving customer inquiries. Additionally, you will monitor customer accounts and take necessary actions.

Responsibilities:

• Ensure consistent treatment for revenue recognition in accordance with company policies and US GAAP by reviewing customer and company documents.

• Monitor daily reports to review and execute revenue-related deals, which includes deal structuring and identifying provisions that could impact our revenue recognition.

• Handle daily accounts receivable activities to guarantee timely revenue recognition.

• Execute ad hoc accounting research to assess accounting impact related to sales transactions.

• Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual closing activities in a timely manner.

• Assist in the implementation of new revenue standard.

• Act as the revenue policy point of contact and relay information to others.

• Prepare audit schedules, provide analysis, and work with external auditors as needed.

• Work on ad hoc projects that range from process improvement, automation, and data analysis to present to management.

• Train others in revenue control policies and collaborate with others regarding revenue system evaluations and improvements.

• Handle special projects as required.

Requirements • Proficient in Microsoft Excel

• Demonstrated understanding of Accounting Functions

• Experience in Accounts Receivable (AR)

• Knowledge of Billing Functions

• Familiarity with ASC 606

• Proficiency in using SAP software

• Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting or related field

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role within the Manufacturing industry

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy

• Ability to multitask and prioritize work under tight deadlines

• Problem-solving and analytical skills

• Knowledge of financial regulations and legislation

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
