Robert Half Customer Service Representative in Hayward, California
Merchandising company in Hayward is seeking a customer service representative to join their team!
In this role you will be:
Responsible for maintaining a high level of professionalism with clients and working to establish a positive rapport with every caller.
Answers incoming customer calls, processes electronic orders via websites and others, manage billing questions, product problems, service questions and general client concerns.
Updates customer information in the customer service database during and after each transaction.
Works with the management team to stay updated on product knowledge and be informed of any changes in company policies.
Impacts the company’s bottom line by problem solving and turning frustrated clients into repeat customers.
Creates customer service reports to correct wrong orders as needed.
Attends monthly production meetings.
Works on special and custom projects as needed.
Working with different channels of orders,
Will also be cross trained in multiple areas – potentially helping with picking some orders with the team
Able to multitask
Good follow up skills
High school diploma/GED required (Associate degree in a business-related field encouraged).
Ability to remain professional and courteous with customers at all times.
Must be available to work weekday and weekend overtime as required.
Strong MS Office and ability to quickly learn various software programs.
Ability to read and write in English.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Monday – Friday 8 AM – 4:30 PM

Requirements - 2+ years of past relevant experience
Call Center Customer Service experience preferred
Spanish Language experience
Well-founded grasp of Microsoft Office
General familiarity with Microsoft Excel
Deep understanding of customer service
Proven knowledge of High Volume Call Center
Foundational knowledge in call centers
Inbound Call Center experience
Excellent computer skills
Enthusiastic attitude and an engaging businesslike approach
- Solid understanding of Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems, e.g. ACT!, Illustrator, Highrise, and Insightly
Demonstrated experience performing extensive research to resolve complex customer inquiries
Demonstrated ability to interact effectively with internal and external partners and clients/customers
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Critical thinking, problem solving, ability to work independently
Excellent customer service and office administrative skills
