Robert Half Inventory Manager in Hayward, California

Description

We are seeking an Inventory Manager/Analyst based in Hayward, California. This role is centered around managing inventory, maintaining product data, and making necessary adjustments in the control system. The role also involves analyzing results, reporting findings to management, and making recommendations as necessary. It offers a contract to hire employment opportunity.

Responsibilities:

• Analyze inventory statistics to manage the company’s inventory effectively

• Create and maintain inventory locations within the system

• Implement physical inventory programs and process inventory obsolescence

• Analyze inventory levels on categories and take action on future aging inventory in the warehouse

• Reconcile randomly chosen part numbers and/or locations

• Utilize inventory demand planning to identify and assist in developing solutions to specific problem areas

• Compile, verify, and report periodic statistical information to management regarding trends in customer escalations

• Create, analyze, and distribute daily inventory and monthly reports

• Identify opportunities to continuously improve forecasting accuracy and results

• Assist in coordinating logistics of orders from suppliers and orders to warehouse customers

• Document inventory discrepancies such as mislabeled items and find root causes and suggest countermeasures.

Requirements • Proficiency in ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning software

• Experience with ERP solutions, with an emphasis on JD Edwards EnterpriseOne and NetSuite

• Understanding of Accounting Functions and their relationship to inventory management

• Excellent customer service skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with both internal and external stakeholders

• Ability to analyze complex data and provide actionable insights

• Experience in inventory management or a similar role is preferred

• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously

• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting, Supply Chain Management, or a related field is preferred.
