Robert Half Divisional/Plant Controller in Heath, Ohio
Description
Robert Half Management Resources is currently looking for an interim Divisional/Plant Controller to support a manufacturing client in Heath, Ohio. This role will provide the primary accounting support to a manufacturing facility, handling a variety of tasks from month-end close to inventory accounting. Your expertise in Manufacturing Cost Accounting and Inventory Controls, along with your proficiency in Dynamics 365 and Excel, will play a crucial role in the successful operations of our plant.
Responsibilities:
• Act as the sole accounting department, handling all related tasks
• Perform month-end close to ensure accurate financial records
• Prepare and analyze financial statements for internal use
• Oversee plant and cost accounting to maintain budget and reduce unnecessary expenses
• Manage inventory accounting and perform inventory cycle counts to ensure accurate records
• Handle accounting for payroll expenses to ensure all employee remuneration is accounted for
• Determine volume and unit costing to assist in pricing and profitability analysis
• Manage the upcoming budget season, planning and forecasting financial needs
• Utilize Dynamics 365 ERP for various accounting tasks
• Employ heavy use of Excel for data analysis and report generation.
Requirements • Minimum of 7 years of experience in a similar role within the manufacturing industry
• Proficiency in Manufacturing Cost Accounting
• Knowledge and experience in Inventory Accounting
• Demonstrated ability to perform Inventory Analysis
• Strong understanding of Inventory Controls procedures
• Experience in Budgeting and Forecasting within the manufacturing sector
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field is strongly preferred
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment
• Proficient in using financial software and Microsoft Office Suite
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously
• Strong leadership skills and experience in managing a team
• Certified Public Accountant designation is a plus
• Strong ethical standards and high levels of integrity.
