Robert Half Staff Accountant in Hebron, Kentucky

Description

We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Staff Accountant with a client in the Manufacturing Industry, located in Hebron, Kentucky, United States. The chosen candidate will be vital in managing our financial operations and ensuring our accounts are in order. This role is particularly focused on processing customer credit applications, maintaining accurate customer credit records, and resolving customer credit inquiries.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee the matching of vendor invoices to purchase orders and receipts.

• Maintain the proper accounting of capital expenditures.

• File appropriate tax forms to meet all requirements.

• Process expense reports in an accurate and timely manner.

• Manage cash disbursements and perform month-end reconciliations, accruals, and amortizations.

• Process invoices and credits to customers.

• Manage our cash receipts and collections process.

• Maintain customer credit limits and order hold releases.

• Utilize skills in Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), Bank Reconciliations, General Ledger, Journal Entries, Month End Close, NetSuite, Oracle, QuickBooks, SAP to perform duties.

• Monitor customer credit accounts and take appropriate action to collect delinquent payments.

Requirements • Demonstrated proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) management

• Proven experience in performing Bank Reconciliations

• Familiarity with maintaining the General Ledger

• Ability to prepare and post Journal Entries accurately

• Experience in Month End Close procedures

• Proficiency in NetSuite, Oracle, QuickBooks, and SAP software

• Solid understanding of manufacturing industry's accounting standards

• Excellent analytical skills to interpret and analyze financial data

• Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and deadlines

• Excellent communication skills to liaise with different departments and stakeholders

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field is preferred

• Relevant certifications such as Certified Public Accountant (CPA) will be an advantage

• Familiarity with relevant laws and regulations in the manufacturing industry is beneficial

• Proactive in identifying and solving accounting discrepancies

• Must be detail-oriented and have the ability to work independently.
