Robert Half Staff Accountant in Hebron, Kentucky

Description

Robert Half is seeking a Staff Accountant to join a growing Northern Kentucky company. In this role, you will be expected to handle various accounting tasks, including processing invoices, reviewing ledgers, and responding to billing inquiries. This role also involves maintaining vendor and customer data, managing corporate credit card usage, and assisting in the development of accounting procedures.

Responsibilities:

• Daily processing of customer invoices and credit memos

• Reviewing AP & AR ledger accounts for accuracy, and reporting any irregularities

• Prompt and courteous response to customer and vendor billing inquiries

• Sending statements on past due accounts and monitoring customer collections and delinquencies

• Compilation of bank deposits and inputting them into the system daily

• Processing customer credit applications as required

• Regular processing of vendor invoices in accordance with controls and preparation of weekly check run

• Updating and establishing vendor and customer data to maintain accurate records

• Management and reporting of corporate credit card usage

• Development and maintenance of fixed asset & depreciation schedule and monitoring of capital projects spending

• Support for monthly use tax filings

• Assistance in monthly bank and account reconciliations

• Preparation of financial records and analysis as needed

• Assistance in the development and implementation of accounting procedures, control, and process improvements

• Compliance with internal controls

• Performance of other accounting, financial, and administrative tasks as required.

Requirements • Proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) management.

• Experience with bank reconciliations.

• Familiarity with General Ledger management.

• Proficiency in creating and managing Journal Entries.

• Experience with Month End Close processes.

• Knowledge of NetSuite, Oracle, QuickBooks, and SAP software.

• Ability to maintain accurate financial records and prepare clear and accurate reports for informational, auditing and operational use.

• Ability to reconcile accounts, records, reports and journals.

• Ability to prepare financial and/or auditor statements, schedules and reports.

• Ability to analyze and interpret financial data.

• Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.

• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with those contacted in the course of work.
