Robert Half is supporting the recruiting efforts of a company in the construction industry to find a Payroll Clerk. This is a full time, permanent position in Henderson. It is 100% on site, and is paying $65-75k. Additional information and job requirements are below. Responsibilities:

• Execute weekly payroll for two entities ensuring accuracy and timeliness

• Handle payroll for various types of employees including hourly, salaried, and those on commission

• Respond to and manage unemployment claims

• Conduct benefits reconciliations regularly to ensure accuracy

• Ensure accurate and timely processing of payroll taxes

• Utilize Automated Payroll systems to streamline processes

• Conduct full cycle payroll activities, ensuring all stages are completed accurately

• Handle multi-state payroll, adhering to different state laws and regulations

• Manage in-house payroll activities to ensure internal compliance

• Use skills in multi-state manual payroll to handle complex payroll situations.

Requirements • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a payroll clerk position or similar role

• Proficiency in automated payroll systems

• Experience in bi-monthly payroll processing

• Knowledge and experience in full cycle payroll processing

• Experience in multi-state payroll processing

• Ability to handle both manual and in-house payroll processes

• High level of accuracy and attention to detail

• Excellent time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines

• Strong numerical skills and data entry proficiency

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and Word

• Knowledge of federal and state payroll regulations and requirements

• Ability to maintain confidentiality regarding payroll information.
