Description
Robert Half is looking for a meticulous Network Engineer who is deeply passionate about networking hardware and software. This Network Engineer would be supporting the work of a company in the Government field. Do you have a strong knowledge of Internet protocols, interfacing, security, server, and network infrastructure? Then we cannot wait to hear from you about this Network Engineer role. This Network Engineer role is a long-term contract / temporary employment opportunity located in the Henderson, Nevada area.
Major responsibilities
Initiate and manage network test facilities
Provide high-level support and technical expertise in networking technology, including hardware, hubs, bridges and routers - predominantly Cisco
Collaborate closely with vendors, clients, carriers and technical staff on implementing, optimizing, and consistently managing of networks
Maintain a secure transfer of data to a variety of locations via internal and external networks
Utilize traditional and creative methods to develop enterprise data, voice, and video networks
Requirements - An understanding of networking such as switching and routing is desired
Solid understanding of Application Security
Strong familiarity with WANs (Wide Area Network)
Data Networks experience
