Description We are offering a long-term contract employment opportunity for an Accounts Payable Specialist in Henrico, Virginia, United States. As an Accounts Payable Specialist, you will have a vital role in ensuring the financial operations of our organization run smoothly and efficiently. You will be operating in an industry that requires meticulous attention to detail and the ability to handle large volumes of financial data.
Responsibilities:
• Process both inventory and non-inventory Accounts Payable effectively. • Engage in 3-way PO matching, ensuring the accuracy of accounting records. • Respond to vendor inquiries in a timely and detail oriented manner. • Handle the processing of up to 100 invoices daily, ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of the operation. • Manage early payment discounts for vendors, providing beneficial financial arrangements. • Conduct regular reconciliations, ensuring all financial records are accurate and up-to-date. • Operate the SAGE accounting system, ensuring all financial data is correctly inputted and managed. • Utilize Accounting Software Systems for efficient and accurate financial operations. • Perform various Accounting Functions, including Accrual Accounting and Auditing. • Handle Automated Clearing House (ACH) transactions as part of the daily operations. • Utilize ADP - Financial Services and Concur for efficient financial management. • Engage in ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning for optimal business process management. Requirements • Proficiency in Account Coding is necessary for this role.
• Experience with Accounting Software Systems is required.
• Familiarity with ADP - Financial Services is necessary.
• Proficiency in using Concur is needed.
• Knowledge of ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning is required.
• Ability to handle Accounting Functions efficiently is expected.
• Experience in Accounts Payable (AP) is required.
• Understanding of Accrual Accounting principles is necessary.
• Ability to perform Auditing tasks is required.
• Familiarity with Automated Clearing House (ACH) is necessary.
