Robert Half Inventory Clerk in Henrico, Virginia

Description

We are offering a part-time contract employment opportunity for an Inventory Clerk in Henrico, Virginia. The Inventory Clerk will be part of our team, focusing on tasks related to managing and maintaining our inventory system. This role is crucial in ensuring smooth operations by fulfilling orders, managing supplier relationships, and maintaining accuracy in our inventory records.

Responsibilities:

• Handling the picking and packing of orders, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.

• Utilizing our computerized system to process orders and maintain inventory records.

• Coordinating with suppliers to confirm purchase orders, check pricing, and arrange deliveries.

• Ensuring timely delivery from suppliers and addressing any issues such as damages, shortages, or rejected deliveries.

• Receiving raw materials and packaging materials into our computerized inventory system accurately and promptly.

• Managing the transfer of products between warehouses, which includes issuing sales orders, arranging transportation, and processing necessary paperwork.

• Regularly updating our inventory system to reflect received materials and dispatched products.

• Collaborating with other team members to ensure efficient operations and excellent customer service.

• Utilizing skills in 'Order Picking' and 'Packing Lists' to ensure order fulfillment and accuracy.

• Regularly reviewing and auditing inventory records to ensure accuracy and prevent discrepancies.

Requirements • Proven experience as an Inventory Clerk or similar role is essential

• Familiarity with standard concepts and best practices in a stockroom or warehouse environment

• Proficiency in inventory software, databases, and systems

• Accuracy and attention to detail in order to maintain accurate inventory records

• Knowledge of 'Order Picking' and 'Packing Lists' is crucial

• Ability to work well independently and within a team

• Strong organizational and time-management skills

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

• Ability to lift and carry heavy items when necessary

• High school diploma or equivalent; higher degree in a relevant discipline would be appreciated.
