Accountemps is seeking a Payroll Clerk to join the dynamic, fast-growing team at one of our clients. This position will require a variety of duties such as data entry, reconciliation of timecards, paycheck distribution and providing statements to various departments. To be an effective part of this dynamic, fast-growing team, the ideal candidate will be capable of effectively communicating with both internal team members and outside customers. This Payroll Clerk opportunity is based in the Henrietta, New York area and is a short-term temporary-to-full-time employment role.
Your responsibilities in this role
Administer and distribute reports as instructed
Communicate with organization employees via a variety of channels to obtain approvals of timesheets
Configure custom reports
Carry out clerical duties such as filing, scanning, faxing, photocopying, etc
Craft and deliver training to employees on the use of proper payroll practices, including timesheet entry and online methods of accessing pay statements
Update data into spreadsheets and the payroll system
Data entry into spreadsheets and the payroll system Requirements - Outstanding data entry skills
Prior knowledge in Payroll software
Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail are a must
Previous payroll experience
Proven ability to quickly learn new systems
