Description We are in search of a Payroll Administrator for our team in the Information Technology industry, based in HERMITAGE, Tennessee. This role will provide project management support for Human Capital Management (HCM) implementation, liaising with various teams both inside and outside of Payroll. This is a short-term contract employment opportunity.

Responsibilities:

• Drive project plans and follow-up with various teams on actionable items, ensuring adherence to strict deadlines

• Leverage strong verbal and written communication skills to influence others and present summary information

• Serve as a trusted business advisor for payroll with other departments such as Human Resources and National Benefits Group

• Liaise with IT in the development and testing of systems, supporting User Acceptance Testing schedules, updates, and results

• Coordinate new HCM process documentation and payroll procedures

• Organize training for multiple payroll teams

• Navigate firm contacts throughout various groups, ensuring the right people are engaged in the project plan

• Demonstrate knowledge of compensation for exempt and non-exempt labor, earnings and deduction codes, overtime rules, paid time off, and holiday pay

• Utilize knowledge of the end to end payroll cycle and payroll systems support

• Comply with payroll regulations and familiarize with payroll reporting, internal control knowledge, general Payroll tax, and payroll lifecycle processes such as hiring, personnel changes, and separations. Requirements • Must possess strong communication skills for effective interaction with various teams and departments

• Familiarity with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word is essential for data management and report generation

• Should have experience in payroll processing and payment processing

• Must be well-versed in HR administration and hiring processes

• Proficiency in documentation and review processes for maintaining quality standards

• Should have experience in managing operations and planning strategies

• Knowledge of finance and ability to handle financial transactions is required

• Experience in training and supervising teams would be an asset

• Familiarity with payroll-related software such as 'About Time' is desirable

• Should have knowledge of compliance procedures and regulations in payroll administration

• Must have the ability to conduct research and implement strategies for process improvement

• Experience in handling logistics and workstation support would be advantageous

• Should be able to manage project effectively, ensuring timely completion

• Experience in managing benefit functions and check processing is required.
