Robert Half Network Engineer in Hershey, Pennsylvania
Description We are in the process of hiring a Network Engineer for our operations located in HERSHEY, Pennsylvania. This position offers a long-term contract employment opportunity. The Network Engineer will be responsible for managing day-to-day operations, leading site transitions, and performing physical migrations and configurations. The role also involves coordinating with various teams and troubleshooting issues as they arise.
Responsibilities:
• Lead transition sites, including scheduling and coordinating with different groups.
• Conduct physical migrations and configurations.
• Oversee day-to-day operational work, particularly on remote sites that need to be transitioned.
• Collaborate with the voice team and other groups to ensure smooth operations.
• Troubleshoot tickets and resolve issues promptly.
• Manage the lifecycle of equipment, including replacing switches as required.
• Utilize Cisco routing and switching experience to ensure optimal network performance.
• Handle Citrix NetScaler’s and IP Control DHCP.
• Configure VRF and VLANs.
• Work onsite with occasional travel to different hospitals in the area. Requirements • Proficiency in working with Cisco Routers and Cisco Technologies
• Experience with Switches and Citrix is necessary
• Knowledge of NetScaler, DHCP, VRF, and VLAN
• Ability to troubleshoot, diagnose and solve complex network issues
• Strong understanding of network infrastructure and network hardware
• Ability to implement, administer, and troubleshoot network devices
• Deep knowledge of application transport and network infrastructure protocols
• Ability to create accurate network diagrams and documentation for design and planning network communication systems
• Proven ability to work in a team-oriented environment
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, Systems Engineering or a related qualification. Technology Doesn't Change the World, People Do.®
