Description
We are in the market for a diligent Audit Manager to join our clients team in Hickory, North Carolina. This role will primarily involve managing and executing audits for our governmental clients. The successful candidate will be adept at multitasking, able to handle multiple projects and priorities with varying deadlines. This is an engagement opportunity with a telecom provider.
Responsibilities:
• Organize and manage client assignments and projects including the completion of audit tasks
• Coach, advise, train, and direct team members assigned to various audits
• Assume an ‘in-charge’ role for audits, reviews, and compilations for governmental clients
• Handle multiple projects and priorities with varying deadlines
• Ensure reporting and communication is frequent and bi-directional
• Act as liaison for internal and external communication with clients
• Ensure compliance surrounding disclosure requirements when reviewing client related financial statements
• Research technical issues
• Responsible for ‘agreed upon procedures’ attest engagements
• Assist with special projects as applicable
• Monitor customer credit accounts and take appropriate action to collect delinquent payments
Requirements • Minimum of 5 years of experience in the field of public auditing
• Proficiency in 3M and CaseWare
• Extensive knowledge of Accounting Software Systems and ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning
• Ability to manage and perform audit engagements
• Excellent understanding of accounting functions
• In-depth knowledge of auditing, compliance, and government audits
• Experience in preparing and analyzing financial statements
• Capacity to effectively utilize Audit Program
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field
• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation preferred
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite applications
• Demonstrated ability to lead and manage a team.
