Description

We are offering a temp to hire employment opportunity in the industry of employee benefit programs. Situated in Hicksville New York, this role is for an Administrative Assistant who will provide crucial support in the administration and management of our employee benefit programs.

Responsibilities:

• Act as a critical point of contact in the administration of health, dental, vision, life insurance, retirement, and other benefit programs.

• Handle the processing of benefit-related paperwork such as enrollment forms, changes in coverage, and employee documentation.

• Assist employees during the benefits enrollment process, providing answers to their questions and helping with online or paper enrollments.

• Monitor and process new hire benefits enrollments, changes during open enrollment, and any updates due to life events.

• Ensure timely communication of benefit enrollment deadlines and changes to employees.

• Respond to employee inquiries about their benefit plans, eligibility, and coverage, acting as a liaison between employees and insurance carriers.

• Assist in preparing and distributing benefits communication materials.

• Maintain compliance with company policies and state and federal regulations.

• Assist in the preparation and distribution of regulatory notices.

• Maintain organized benefits files, ensuring confidentiality and accuracy of employee data.

• Enter and update employee benefit data in HRIS systems or benefits administration software.

• Monitor and audit benefits deductions in payroll to ensure accuracy.

• Assist in the planning and execution of the annual open enrollment process.

Requirements • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft PowerPoint, Microsoft Word)

• Ability to manage and schedule appointments effectively

• Excellent customer service skills, including answering inbound and making outbound calls

• Prior experience in benefits administration is a plus

• Exceptional data entry skills, with attention to detail and accuracy

• Experience with email correspondence in a professional setting

• Ability to multitask and manage time effectively

• Strong verbal and written communication skills

• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team

• Demonstrated problem-solving skills

• High school diploma or equivalent required, additional qualifications in Office Administration are a plus.
