Robert Half Business System Consultant in Highland Heights, Ohio

Description

We are offering a contract for a Business Systems Consultant III role REMOTELY in the US. This role involves leading system enhancements and business process improvements, acting as an interface between vendors, business areas, Legal, and IT departments for system projects and implementations. This position also involves leading projects with a high degree of complexity and risk.

Responsibilities:

• Lead and contribute to the leadership of complex projects

• Develop project documentation including timelines, initiation documents, work breakdown structures, and estimates

• Identify stakeholders' business problems and objectives related to system issues and projects, considering the impact across other business functions and systems

• Analyze data to recommend business systems solutions

• Participate in design review sessions to ensure compliance with requirements, system standards, and usability

• Conduct meetings with customer groups and/or IT, including senior management to present findings and recommendations

• Conduct and coordinate the design, development, and delivery of training related to assigned projects

• Coordinate communication efforts related to projects, including status, timelines, scope changes, risks, issues, and rollouts

• Serve as a primary resource to document, monitor, and coordinate resolution of system issues

• Create and execute a post-implementation plan in coordination with Project Manager

• Resolve escalated issues and potentially resolve issues on an infrastructure level

• Research and share industry best practices and develop external networking relationships

• Serve as an expert resource and provide direction for system issues and problem-solving

• Gather business requirements and evaluate technical solutions by discussing business needs with end user managers and project teams

• Provide system design recommendations related to business requirements

• Conduct fit gap analysis and/or comparative analysis to aid in the creation of business requirements

• Define and contribute to the testing process.

Requirements • Exceptional communication skills, both oral and written

• Proven management abilities with a track record of successful team leadership

• Ability to create, manage and maintain comprehensive documentation

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, and Microsoft PowerPoint

• Experience in designing and delivering training programs

• Strong planning and organization skills

• Familiarity with standard procedures and best practices within the industry

• Ability to review, design, and implement strategies effectively

• Leadership skills demonstrating the capacity to motivate and guide teams

• Experience working with vendors and managing vendor relationships

• Solid background in consulting and implementation of business systems

• Strong networking skills and the ability to establish connections with stakeholders

• Proficiency in Lotus Notes and other common business software

• Understanding and application of research analysis methods

• Ability to execute plans with precision and resolve issues promptly

• Demonstrated experience in process improvement initiatives

• Knowledge of industry best practices and the ability to apply them in different contexts. Innovation starts with people.®
