Robert Half International Part Time Accounts Payable Clerk in Highlands Ranch, Colorado


Accountemps is actively seeking a part-time Accounts Payable Clerk for a client in the Highlands Ranch, CO area. This position works closely and reports to the Accounting Manager and handles all general administrative needs of the AP/Finance Department. The candidate will primarily focus on matching and batching code, resolving A/P issues, processing expense reports, updating and reconciling sub-ledger to G/L and processing checks are primary areas of focus. Key responsibilities for the Part Time Accounts Payable Clerk:

· Work with vendors, managing payment issues

· Opening purchase orders in SAP software

· Research and resolve discrepancies with A/P invoices

· Coding transactions, filing, and other administrative duties as assigned.

· Assist internal business partners with any customer services needs

· Manage department mail by opening, sorting, and distributing it daily

· Provide administrative assistance to the AP/Finance Department

· Manage validating, recording, and mailing checks and expedite special handling

· Accurately execute daily processes and controls in a timely manner while ensuring company policies are followed

· Help with internal and external audits as required

· Organize, register, scan, and file invoices, checks, and other documents


Requirements for the Part Time Accounts Payable Clerk:

· Ability to work within spreadsheets and databases

· High attention to detail and possesses excellent organizational and writing skills

· Demonstrated communication, customer service, and interpersonal skills, especially with both technical and financial backgrounds

· Wide ranging experience with Enter Invoices

· Earlier work involving Enter Vendor Invoices

· Quality experience with Coding Invoices

· Accounts Payable (AP) experience highly desired

· Foundational knowledge in Accounts Payable (AP)

· General experience with data entry

· SAP experience or other accounting software strongly desired

· Practical knowledge of Coding Invoices

· Proven knowledge of Purchase Orders

· Good understanding of customer invoices

· Well-founded grasp of data entry

· Microsoft Word experience

· Expertise in Microsoft Excel

· 1+ years of experience in an A/P role preferred
