Description
A Financial Analyst is needed for an entry-level position in the Financial Services industry. Apply now via Robert Half. The main responsibilities of the Financial Analyst role will encompass providing daily support to the accounting and finance departments, as well as executing routine assignments and solving routine/standard problems with limited discretion. We need an open-minded individual for a Financial Analyst position that is comfortable working with a large sum of data and proficient at managing expectations. This long-term contract / temporary employment opportunity is based in the Hillsboro, Ohio area.
Your responsibilities in this role
Collaborate with internal and external auditors during financial and operational audits
Help in diverse aspects of the monthly/quarterly/annual close process (i.e. journal entries, account reconciliations, expense analysis, and trend analysis, variance analysis)
Study and query a broad amounts of data
Arrange inventive alternatives and ideas to reduce costs and boost financial performance of a company
Offer support in annual budgeting process
Contribute in the production of monthly financial reporting and other business data
Aid in monitoring and maintaining internal accounting controls to ensure compliance with Sarbanes Oxley requirements
Strengthen and evaluate budgets and income statement forecasts
Periodically demonstrate difficult financial subjects to non-financial staff members in special projects
Investigate concluding results at the corporate and division levels
Aid in ensuring adequate controls and procedures
Requirements - Less than one year of experience preferred
- Applicant must be familiar with word processing, spreadsheets and presentation software, as well as databases and customer database systems
BA/BS degree in finance or a related field
Attention to detail and proven ability to follow standard procedures is a requirement
Can work independently with minimal supervision
Command of Analyze Financial Statements
Proficiency in financial analysis
Commercial loans experience preferred
Demonstrated knowledge of Communication Skills
Adeptness in commercial credit
Microsoft Excel experience
Solid understanding of Banking Industry
Strong communication and interpersonal skills (verbal, written, and listening)
Firm understanding of problem solving through statistical analysis or with large data sets highly preferable (such as in derivatives, structured finance, or business analytics or in a similarly demanding and analytical role)
