Description

We are offering a long-term contract employment opportunity for a Sr. Accountant with a client based in Hillsboro OR. This role will involve a mix of both on-site and remote work. The Sr. Accountant will be responsible for a variety of tasks, including general ledger accounting functions, account reconciliations, and working with large data sets in Excel.

Responsibilities:

• Assisting with the preparation of the Annual Comprehensive Financial Report (ACFR)

• Handling General Ledger (GL) accounting functions to ensure accuracy and compliance

• Using advanced Excel skills to manage and analyze large data sets

• Conducting account reconciliations to ensure all transactions are recorded accurately

• Using Oracle software for various accounting tasks

• Preparing financial statements for review and presentation

• Monitoring accounts and taking appropriate action when necessary

Requirements

• Proficient in Account Reconciliation

• Proficient in maintaining and managing General Ledger

• Able to prepare and record Journal Entries

• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel

• Capable of handling Month End Close

• Experience with Oracle software

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

• Ability to work independently and within a team

• Strong organizational and time management skills

• Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines

• Knowledge of local, state and federal tax regulations

• Knowledge of financial regulations and standards

• Demonstrated ethical behavior, professionalism, and strong interpersonal skills.
