Robert Half Data Warehouse Analyst in Hillside, New Jersey
Description We are offering an opportunity for a Data Warehouse Analyst in the retail industry. The position is based in Hillside, New Jersey, United States. The successful candidate will be responsible for synthesizing complex analytical tasks into easily understood data-driven stories and working collaboratively with other analysts to deduce insights and solve real-world business problems.
Responsibilities:
• Partner with our Operations, Product, and Finance team to create KPIs and new methodologies for measurement.
• Build, own and scale our labor planning process, providing the business with accurate labor targets and forecasts in partnership with Talent Acquisition.
• Understand drivers, impacts on key influences on business dynamics and productivity.
• Translate data into actionable insights for the stakeholders.
• Automate reporting for weekly business metrics.
• Identify areas of opportunity to automate and scale our current processes.
• Conduct analysis and data mining using Excel.
• Extract and process data using SQL.
• Utilize data warehousing and data modeling skills to improve operational efficiency and effectiveness.
• Use communication (verbal, written, and data presentation) and interpersonal skills to effectively convey findings and insights.
The successful candidate should be comfortable dealing with ambiguity and competing objectives in a fast-paced environment. Proficiency in Python/Tableau/Power BI would be advantageous. Requirements • Proficiency in database management and data analysis
• Experience with Datastage and DB2 Database is essential
• Familiarity with EO/IR systems and Erwin Data
• Proficiency in AB Testing and creating Business Requirement Documents
• Strong skills in data modeling and data warehousing
• Expertise in Microsoft Excel
• Prior experience in the retail industry is preferred
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field is required
• Proven ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines
• Familiarity with data privacy standards and regulations is a plus
