Robert Half Sr Financial Analyst - Exempt in Hinsdale, Illinois

Description

We are in search of a Sr Financial Analyst. This role offers a contract to hire employment opportunity in the financial industry. As a Sr Financial Analyst, you will be tasked with various responsibilities that include accounting, financial analysis, and compliance with US GAAP. You will also be involved in project management, policy implementation, and process improvement initiatives.

Responsibilities:

• Efficiently process and analyze financial information to record transactions, prepare reports, and verify their accuracy.

• Oversee timely period-end closing processes for month-end, quarter-end, and year-end, collaborating closely with financial shared services and other support functions.

• Ensure financial closing and reporting are in compliance with US GAAP.

• Prepare journal entries and balance sheet account reconciliations, thereby strengthening balance sheet controls.

• Support internal control requirements, including SOX compliance.

• Compile and analyze financial information to provide insights to management.

• Develop, maintain, and establish operational specifications for financial information systems, considering factors such as information flow, volume, and ad hoc reporting and analysis.

• Drive continuous improvement initiatives and work on ad-hoc projects.

• Monitor business performance by unit, division, or group and assist in business development.

• Conduct financial modeling, economic research, and trend analysis

Requirements • Proficiency in communication and reporting skills is crucial for this role.

• Experience in training and policy implementation is necessary.

• Knowledge of compliance and research procedures is required.

• Understanding of budget processes and review is essential.

• Skills in project management and supervising are needed.

• Familiarity with 'About Time' and 'Workstation Support' software is beneficial.

• Ability to handle phone presence professionally is expected.

• Leadership skills are important for this role.

• Experience in dealing with vendors is required.

• Ability to perform ad hoc financial tasks is vital.

• Skills in forecasting and dealing with stakeholders are essential.

• Experience in business development and capital management is a plus.

• Familiarity with process improvement methods is necessary.

• Experience in closing, specification, and balance sheet account management is beneficial.
