Robert Half Accounting Assistant in Hockessin, Delaware
Description
Northern Delaware client seeks an Accounting Assistant with excellent Microsoft Excel expertise. This Accounting Assistant must have a flair for numbers and should be familiar with all accounting procedures including accounts payable and accounts receivable. Ultimately, the successful Accounting Assistant will assist with providing thorough accounting support to the finance team including: abiding by departmental procedures and internal controls, complete accounts payable/receivable transactions, review and prepare vendor invoices, and perform monthly bank reconciliations.
Primary Responsibilities
· Match/batch/code invoices
· Assist with journal entries
· Maintain accounts receivable/payable records
· Expense Reports
· Vendor Management
· General ledger/account reconciliations
· Documentation support
· Assist with month end financial statements
· Participate in quarterly and annual audits
Requirements
The ideal Accounting Assistant will have a Bachelors degree in Accounting/Finance/Business Administration.
Other requirements for the Accounting Assistant role include and are not limited to:
· 3+ years of AP/AR experience
· MUST have proficient Microsoft Excel skills
· Experience with SAGE 100 or SAGE Intacct a plus
