Robert Half Security Analyst in Hoffman Estates, Illinois
Description We are seeking a Data Security Analyst for an exciting opportunity based in Hoffman Estates, Illinois. This role lies at the intersection of technology and security, requiring a keen understanding of potential vulnerabilities and the ability to implement robust security measures. The Data Security Analyst will be responsible for assessing system weaknesses, managing security incidents, and ensuring the highest level of data security across our operations.
Responsibilities:
• Assess and evaluate systems to identify weaknesses and assess risk, performing vulnerability testing as necessary
• Gain familiarity with various operating systems and services, particularly through command line interface
• Understand and manage security incident and event management, log analysis, network traffic analysis, and malware investigation/remediation
• Utilize knowledge of SIEM solutions such as RSA Security Analytics, ArcSight, LogRhythm, QRadar, Splunk, Microsoft Sentinel for effective security management
• Review security violation reports or logs, investigate possible security exceptions, and coordinate with internal teams or external agencies as needed
• Assist in the creation and implementation of security solutions, including conducting vendor risk assessments
• Implement new or upgraded security measures or controls, and document system or process changes
• Coordinate the development and delivery of security awareness programs and educate staff about security risks and opportunities
• Demonstrate the ability to analyze, triage, and remediate security incidents
Skills:
• Knowledge of Apache Spark, Azure Data Factory, Cloud Technologies, Database, EO/IR systems
• Proficient in AB Testing, Auditing, AWS Technologies, Design, Documentation
• Familiarity with Application Security, Cisco Security, Computer Security, Configuration-Security, Cyber Security
• Understand Cyber security policies, Cyber security standards, Cyber security strategy, Cybersecurity compliance, Email security, Endpoint Security, Firewall security, Information security, Information - Network Security, IT Security Requirements • Proficiency in Apache Spark and Azure Data Factory.
• Demonstrated knowledge and experience with Cloud Technologies.
• Strong skills working with databases.
• Familiarity with EO/IR systems.
• Experience in AB Testing and Auditing.
• Proficient in AWS Technologies.
• A background in design and documentation.
• Understanding of Application Security and Cisco Security.
• Experience with Computer Security and Configuration-Security.
• Expertise in Cyber Security, including knowledge of cyber security policies, standards, and strategies.
• Familiarity with Cybersecurity compliance.
• Ability to manage Email security and Endpoint Security.
• Knowledge of Firewall security.
• Experience in Information security and Information - Network Security.
• Strong IT Security skills.
• Ability to work in a team environment and independently.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
