Robert Half Financial Analyst in HOLLAND, Michigan

This role's primary duties will consist of implementing financial modeling on various financial products as well as measure, analyze, and forecast performance in conjunction with operating plans. You will also be required to advise management on the allocation of resources to best accomplish objectives and prepare reports for management. This Financial Analyst role, which is a permanent employment opportunity, is located in the Holland, Michigan.

Key responsibilities

  • Look over performance to date while assessing potential opportunities and risks

  • Collaborate with the Accounting team on the monthly and quarterly financial close process

  • Keep track of monthly and quarterly performance by comparing actuals versus expectations and enabling business partners to handle their resources

  • Enable effective Business Intelligence (BI) to provide forward-looking insight and decision support

  • Compile and supervise forecasting reports

  • Propel monthly reporting to business partners on financial results and actions necessary

  • Work alongside cross-functional partners in Accounting and Operations to ensure plans are properly executed

  • Drive P& L forecasting and Area/Segment-level Bookings on a weekly, quarterly and annual basis

  • Possess the know-how and be able to explain internal and external drivers impacting performance and trending

  • Collaborate with senior executives on strategic deep dives on creating financial models and insights on topics such as: Retention forecasts, event tracking and execution, Campaign Planning & Tracking, return on investment of strategic investments, and strategic resource allocation, and prioritization

  • This position requires a flexible individual who is adept at managing expectations and comfortable with handling large amounts of information Requirements - 2+ years of experience in problem solving through statistical analysis or with large data sets highly preferable (such as in derivatives, structured finance, or business analytics or in a similarly demanding and analytical role)

  • BA/BS degree in finance or a related field

  • Qualified in Spreadsheet and ERP system

  • Practical knowledge in problem solving through statistical analysis or with large data sets highly preferable (such as in derivatives, structured finance, or business analytics or in a similarly demanding and analytical role)

  • Financial planning & analysis (go-to-market experience recommended)

  • Experience with Fixed Asset Accounting

  • Adeptness in Fixed Asset Depreciation

  • Disposals experience

  • Strong familiarity with CapEx

  • Annual Budget experience desired

  • Expertise in capital assets

  • Business Intelligence (BI) reporting tools experience a plus

  • Eager problem-solver who listens for customer cues and actively resolves problems with grace and integrity

  • Sound written and verbal communication skills

  • Able to build and deliver effective presentations to audiences with wide-ranging backgrounds
