Robert Half PC Technician in Hollywood, Florida

Description

We are looking for a detail-oriented PC Technician to support our IT team in maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing computer systems and hardware. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of PC hardware, operating systems, and basic networking. This role is essential for ensuring all employees have reliable, well-functioning computer systems to support their productivity.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Technical Support & Troubleshooting:

  • Diagnose and resolve hardware and software issues on PCs, laptops, and peripheral devices.

  • Provide technical support to end-users via phone, email, or in-person, assisting with computer issues and network connectivity problems.

  • PC Setup & Configuration:

  • Install, configure, and maintain new computer systems, including operating systems, software, and security updates.

  • Perform system imaging and deploy software to ensure consistency and compliance with company standards.

  • Hardware Maintenance & Repair:

  • Replace or upgrade components such as memory, hard drives, power supplies, and other internal parts as needed.

  • Manage and document inventory of spare parts and equipment for efficient servicing and repairs.

  • Network & Peripheral Support:

  • Assist with basic network setup and troubleshooting, including wired and wireless connections.

  • Set up and support peripheral devices such as printers, scanners, and monitors.

  • Documentation & Reporting:

  • Maintain accurate records of repairs, configurations, and user support requests using ticketing systems.

  • Document troubleshooting steps, solutions, and best practices for future reference.

    Requirements

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent; Associate’s degree in IT or related field preferred.

  • Experience: 1-2 years of experience in a similar role providing PC hardware and software support.

Technical Skills:

  • Knowledge of Windows operating systems (Windows 10/11) and basic troubleshooting techniques.

  • Experience with hardware repairs, upgrades, and system imaging tools.

  • Familiarity with basic networking concepts and troubleshooting.

  • Proficiency in using IT support tools and ticketing systems.
