Description

We are looking to onboard an Interim Controller with our client's team. This role is located in HOMEWOOD, Alabama. As a Controller, you will be instrumental in managing and overseeing all aspects of our financial operations, including auditing, budget processes, and the preparation of financial statements. This role offers a contract to hire employment opportunity.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee and manage all accounting transactions and general ledger work

• Conduct thorough audits to ensure data accuracy and compliance with regulations

• Develop and manage effective budget processes to align with business objectives

• Prepare accurate and timely financial statements for management review

• Implement and maintain financial controls and procedures to ensure financial stability

• Collaborate with various department heads to analyze financial data and optimize profitability

• Manage the preparation and publication of all statutory financial information

• Evaluate and manage risk to ensure the long-term financial health of the organization

• Stay updated on industry trends and regulations to maintain compliance and competitiveness

• Develop strategies for financial performance monitoring and organizational growth.

Requirements

• Must hold a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting or Finance.

• Previous experience in a financial leadership role is required.

• Must possess strong knowledge of Auditing, Budget Processes, and Financial Statements.

• Should have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

• Demonstrated leadership skills and the ability to manage a team effectively.

• Must have strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Proficiency in using financial software and Microsoft Office Suite.

• Must possess excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

• Strong understanding of business tax laws and regulations.

• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Management Accountant (CMA) certification is preferred.
