Robert Half Accountant in Honolulu, Hawaii

Description

We are in need of an Accountant to join our team in HONOLULU, Hawaii. As an integral part of our organization, you will be tasked with maintaining financial accuracy and ensuring all financial transactions are recorded correctly. This role is essential in our industry and requires the application of specific skills such as Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), Bank Reconciliations, General Ledger, Journal Entries, Month End Close, SAP, and Sage 100. Responsibilities:

• Ensure all financial records, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll, are kept up-to-date and accurate

• Conduct monthly bank and general ledger reconciliations to validate all transactions are recorded correctly

• Verify necessary documents and approvals are provided before issuing disbursements

• Invoice congregations for monthly assessments and pass-through costs

• Monitor accounts receivable delinquencies and report them appropriately

• Provide necessary worksheets and information for Controller and auditors as needed

• Document and acknowledge donations made to the organization

• Perform other duties as assigned within the realm of accounting

Requirements • Proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)

• Experience in performing Bank Reconciliations

• Knowledge of General Ledger operations

• Ability to create and manage Journal Entries

• Demonstrated experience with Month End Close procedures

• Familiarity with SAP software

• Proficiency in using Sage 100 software

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• High attention to detail and accuracy

• Professional certification (e.g., CPA) is a plus.
