Robert Half Accounting Clerk in Honolulu, Hawaii

Description

We are looking for a diligent Accounting Clerk to join our team in the Senior Care industry, located in HONOLULU, Hawaii. This role will be heavily involved in managing financial records and transactions, including processing invoices, reconciling accounts, and handling billing procedures. You will be working in a dynamic environment where collaboration with various departments is essential. Responsibilities:

• Coordinate with various departments to gather and verify billing information

• Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions, ensuring accuracy and timeliness

• Reconcile accounts and resolve any discrepancies in customer credit records

• Handle billing processes, including the preparation of bank deposits and collections

• Utilize software such as Microsoft Excel, Oracle, QuickBooks, and SAP to manage financial data

• Maintain a high level of confidentiality and adhere to industry regulations and company policies

• Assist in the month-end closing process, which may require additional hours

• Leverage skills in account reconciliation to ensure accurate financial statements

• Communicate effectively with customers and department heads to address inquiries and resolve issues related to payments and billing

• Continuously update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities and maintaining personal networks.

Requirements • Proficiency in account reconciliation and data entry

• Experience with accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR)

• Familiarity with billing procedures and invoice processing

• Proficient in using Microsoft Excel

• Experience with Oracle, QuickBooks, and SAP software

• Knowledge and experience in the healthcare industry

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Strong communication and organizational skills

• High degree of accuracy and attention to detail

• Flexibility to adapt to changes in procedures and job assignments

• Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion

• Demonstrated understanding and application of complex accounting principles

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field, or equivalent experience in the field.
