Robert Half Accounting Clerk in Honolulu, Hawaii

Description

We are offering an exciting opportunity for an Accounting Clerk in the non-profit sector located in Honolulu, Hawaii. This role focuses on ensuring the accuracy of accounting data, creating and managing various documents, and assisting with the development and organization of financial statements and reports. Responsibilities:

• Ensure the precision of accounting data input into various accounting software

• Create journal entries for cash receipts and conduct multiple government funding allocations

• Reconcile general ledger accounts, address discrepancies, and manage subsidiary schedules as required

• Assist with the development of monthly financial statements, associated reports, and funding budgets for agencies and government

• Organize monthly government claims, maintain subsidiary schedules, reconcile the general ledger, and supervise the recovery of late receivables

• Create and manage various documents, including yearly audit work papers

• Produce accurate invoicing for government agencies, tenants, and other funding sources

• Review monthly credit card postings in various software, ensuring accuracy

• Undertake various other duties as necessary and assigned

Requirements • Minimum of 1 year experience in an Accounting Clerk role or similar within the Non-Profit industry

• Proficiency in Account Reconciliation, Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)

• Experience in Billing and Data Entry operations

• Skilled in Invoice Processing

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel

• Experience with Oracle, QuickBooks, SAP and Sage Intacct is advantageous

• Ability to meet deadlines and handle multiple tasks concurrently

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Attention to detail and high level of accuracy

• Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field is preferred.
