Description
We're seeking an expert in accounting manager for our client in Honolulu, HI. Your role will encompass the supervision of all accounting procedures, upholding consistent accounting records structure, and deciphering financial data. Your responsibility is pivotal in assuring the truthful presentation of financial results in line with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
Responsibilities of the Accounting Manager:
• Manage and supervise daily accounting operations and continue the professional growth of our accounting team
• Preserve the accounting structure and monitor all financial transactions and assets
• Uphold record-keeping principles that match the mandatory accounting standards and policies
• Organize month-end closings, development of financial statements, regulatory reports, and audit schedules efficiently
• Check payable accounts invoices and administer the accounts payable process along with its workflows
• Collaborate with CFO to assess cash needs and devise tactics to boost cash flow
• Aid in navigating the billing process via diverse receivable systems
• Administer accounts receivable aging, and oversee collections and deposits
• Confirm the accuracy of client and student records within various enrolment and finance management platforms
• Scrutinize the accounting system for discrepancies and remediate them promptly
• Conduct monthly reconciliations of bank, investment, and accounts
• Assist with annual budget planning
• Secure the prompt and accurate creation and submission of the yearly financial audit and tax schedules to the CPA firm
• Execute special assignments as directed.
Requirements
Accounting Manager experience or Sr. Accountant experience ready to move into the next phase of your career
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance
CPA a plus
Advanced Excel
This is an on-site opportunity. Candidates residing on Oahu will be given first priority. Relocation packages not available.
