Description

We are in search of an Accounting Manager/Supervisor to join our team. The role involves supervising all accounting disciplines, including payroll, accounts receivable, accounts payable, and financial management. If you are interested in this role, please contact Melissa Tree at 808.452.0254

Responsibilities:

• Ensuring the efficiency and productivity of all financial and accounting processes.

• Preparing and presenting financial, accounting reports, and analysis as requested by management.

• Reviewing all financial statements for accuracy and compliance with generally accepted accounting practices.

• Identifying potential cash flow issues or financial irregularities and regularly reporting to upper management.

• Acting as a liaison between the accounting team and operations team.

• Updating and maintaining a fixed asset file.

• Assisting with customer inquiries regarding billing or account-related issues.

• Handling daily bank deposits.

• Overseeing the recruitment and training of accounting staff.

• Contributing to the development and training of accounting staff.

Requirements

• Minimum of three years of experience in an Accounting Manager/Supervisor role

• Comprehensive understanding and practical experience with Accounting Functions

• Demonstrable expertise in managing Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)

• Proven experience in executing Auditing processes

• Familiarity with Billing Functions within the Motor Freight Forwarder industry

• Proficiency in using QuickBooks Enterprise software for accounting tasks

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field is preferred

• Strong organizational and communication skills

• Demonstrated ability to manage and lead a team effectively

• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail

• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
