We are in search of an Accounting Specialist to join our team in HONOLULU, Hawaii. This role offers a contract employment opportunity in the industry of accounting and finance. The Accounting Specialist will be tasked with various responsibilities related to both Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR), along with other accounting functions. Responsibilities:

• Accurately process customer credit applications

• Conduct accounts payable and receivable tasks, including cash posting

• Maintain accurate customer credit records

• Manage expense reports, vouchers, and reimbursements

• Handle grant accounting tasks

• Resolve customer inquiries efficiently

• Monitor customer accounts and take appropriate action when necessary

• Utilize Sage Software for various accounting procedures

• Process transactions via PayPal when required

• Ensure all accounting tasks adhere to company standards and regulations.

Requirements • Proficiency in accounting functions, including but not limited to, accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR)

• Experience with Sage Software for managing and processing financial information

• Ability to prepare and manage expense reports, vouchers, and reimbursements

• Familiarity with grant accounting principles and practices

• Knowledge and experience in using PayPal for business transactions

• Experience in cash posting to ensure accurate record keeping

• Ability to handle financial data with confidentiality and integrity

• Strong problem-solving skills to address accounting discrepancies

• Excellent communication skills for reporting financial information

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
